My Arranging Background
I created my first arrangement during my senior year of high school. In the years since, my arrangements have expanded to full size big band, specialized instrumentations, and custom marching band work. My diverse musical background allows me to work in many styles, as well as informs my orchestration and understanding of the level of difficulty most appropriate for the ensemble.
I began arranging for marching band. For the first few years of my arranging career, I mostly worked on writing for front ensembles while I was performing with world class percussion group Rhythm X. While studying at Capital University, I started to arrange for jazz ensembles of all sizes and instrumentations, from duo works to large big band charts. Much of my work has been performed by various ensembles at Capital University.
My resume of music copying/engraving includes editing arrangements for well known composer and arranger Lou Fischer. Other work includes engraving and illustrating an upcoming percussion education book for Oxford University Press. My notation emphasizes readability, clear articulations, and clean formatting.
